Are you a technically minded leader with a passion for innovation, training, and customer satisfaction? We are looking for a Technical Product Manager to join our team and lead the delivery of exceptional technical support and training across our organisation.
What do we expect from you?
As a Technical Product Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our teams and customers receive the highest level of technical support. You will lead a small team of Technical Product Training Managers, collaborate with suppliers to drive product improvements, and work cross-functionally to ensure our products are supported with robust training and troubleshooting resources.
- Technical Support & Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve product-related technical issues for internal teams and field technicians. Provide guidance on maintenance and software updates to ensure optimal product performance.
- Training & Knowledge Sharing: Lead and support Technical Product Training Managers in delivering consistent, high-quality training. Collaborate with HR and People Development to align training with business needs and competency frameworks.
- Supplier & Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with suppliers to resolve technical issues and implement product improvements. Ensure correct product specification and usage through ongoing supplier engagement.
- Support Infrastructure & Tool: Manage support channels including phone, email, live chat, remote access, and on-site visits. Maintain and update the internal knowledge base with technical documentation and self-help resources.
- Continuous Improvement & Best Practice: Monitor support trends and user feedback to identify areas for improvement. Promote best practices in technical support, including clear communication and proactive issue prevention.
The position is based at our offices in Ashford, Kent and the successful candidate must live within a daily commuting distance of our Ashford Office.
What skills and experience are required to perform this role?
- Experience in technical product training
- Strong knowledge, and demonstrable experience of technical product support and troubleshooting and people management
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex issues clearly
- A proactive, analytical mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement
- Flexibility to travel and adapt to changing business needs
- A commitment to providing high-quality and proactive internal and external support
- A willingness to stay updated on new technologies and continuously enhance technical knowledge and skills.
- Experience in working with suppliers to resolve product issues and implement improvements
- Full UK driving licence and valid passport (travel outside the EU required)
