WHAT DO WE EXPECT FROM YOU?
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who have completed, or are currently completing, an Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Installation or similar technical qualification and are looking to develop a career in field service engineering.
Working alongside experienced engineers, you will receive structured training and hands-on experience, developing the skills required to service, maintain, troubleshoot and install world-class entrance control solutions across a variety of customer sites.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Assisting with the servicing and maintenance of revolving doors and entrance systems
- Learning how to diagnose electrical and mechanical faults
- Supporting installation and commissioning activities
- Gaining experience in fault-finding, repairs and preventative maintenance
- Building strong relationships with customers and colleagues
- Completing service documentation and technical reports
- Working safely and professionally at live customer locations
The successful candidate will need to reside in London, or the close surrounding areas and must hold a full, clean driving licence or working towards obtaining this.
This role is a 40 hour per week contract, working 5 out of 7 days on a rota basis, and will involve mandatory weekend working and regular overtime.
WHAT SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE ARE REQUIRED?
- A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Engineering, Electrical Installation or a related discipline (completed or in progress)
- A genuine interest in mechanical and electrical engineering
- Good problem solving skills
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
- GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent)
- A full UK driving licence or a commitment to obtain one within an agreed timeframe
