Call prior to the festival - We will set a time to have a brief training call together. Two meals will be provided per shift on your wristband (Boomtown is a fully cashless festival). Except Monday lunchtime where you will be provided with crew catering.
Staff camping available - You have a campsite with access to power, water, toilets, tent and cabin, showers, phone charging facilities, a place to make tea and coffee and clothes washing facilities. Live-in vehicles are allowed (no electric hookup), please let us know in advance. You must bring everything else you need to camp comfortably.
Access to: The Crow Bar (Main Arena), Crew Bar (Turnpike camping).

Role Summary: Our Changemaker Coordinators will be responsible for ensuring our volunteers are engaging our citizens in conversations about sustainability, ecobonds, agents of change and all of our green initiatives at Boomtown whilst they are in the campsites. The volunteers will be expected to engage in these conversations through a combination of surveys, quizzes and fun facts. You will be based at our Campsite Help Points and will be the conduit and base for our volunteers. You will be the escalation pathway upwards to the Changemaker Manager and Deputy Manager for any incidents these groups come across whilst out on site and you will be the base for all sustainability related information. Citizens must also be encouraged to approach you to learn more about our sustainability aims and to learn more about what it means to be an Agent of Change and how to become one. You will be the first point of contact for the Changemaker volunteers - volunteer teams will vary in size from between 15 - 20 volunteers. You will empower them with all sustainability information that is required, organise them as appropriate into groups of no smaller than 2 and also pass onto the Deputy Manager / Changemaker Manager any concerns or queries. A thorough and invested knowledge of our green policies and expectations is key - packs will be provided and briefed to you on Tuesday during our briefing session. As part of your role you will also need to have a basic knowledge of your surrounding area and the resources at your disposal.

- Make sure volunteers welfare and work load is managed
- Ensure all the sustainability functions of the campsites are running smoothly
- Be the point of contact for sustainability information and know where to find the answer if needed
- Understand who the Agents of Change are and where possible recruit more!
- Make sure the audience is aware of where the ecobonds are located and when they are open.
- On Monday make sure the audience is aware they need to take their tent home
- Be the point of call for when the Ecobond points are open, noting down any issues with the scanning of our citizens wristbands and ensure them that their Ecobond payment will still go ahead.

- Good leadership skills, set examples for your volunteers in how to conduct themselves.
- Have good organisational skills, ensuring yourselves and volunteers are in position on time.
- Be able to have fun whilst also engaging in serious topics.
- Have some kind of previous festival experience, albeit volunteering or paid.
- To be able to keep good clear radio etiquette and to ensure our volunteers keep to this too.
