Boomkat is an online record store and label group established in 1998, specialising in independent and underground music. We have several in-house record labels for which we also provide distribution and manufacturing services.
The Job
The vacancy is in the order packing and fulfilment side of the business, primarily handling and shipping vinyl orders, as well as handling post, deliveries, and various other manual tasks. Many of the vinyl releases we ship are made in very small editions so part of the job is ensuring that all our stock is handled, packaged and shipped with care, and that inventory is accurately handled to avoid any mistakes.
This is a physically demanding job - there are lots of heavy boxes involved - but one that also requires close attention to detail and an ability to focus under pressure. We're a small team so you'll also be expected to jump in and help out with other daily tasks too; receiving heavy deliveries, moving sacks of post, handling shipments, and generally mucking in wherever needed.
