As Senior Care Coordinator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth delivery of safe, high-quality care. You will be responsible for coordinating staff rotas, managing day-to-day operational challenges, and supporting both staff and service users.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and manage staff rotas to ensure safe and effective care delivery
- Manage holidays, sickness, training, inductions, supervisions, and refresher courses within rotas
- Respond effectively to emergency situations and short-notice cover requirements
- Ensure staff availability complies with contracted hours and visa restrictions
- Maintain accurate care records in line with GDPR requirements
- Conduct quality spot checks on carers
- Handle complaints and concerns professionally and effectively
- Promote outstanding, person-centred customer service
- Support the Deputy Manager / Registered Manager with probation reviews, supervisions, and annual appraisals
- Provide out-of-hours on-call support as part of a rota (not office based)
- Operate and maintain the Access IT system (rotas, planning, changes, templating)
- Work flexibly to meet the needs of the service
- Treat all staff fairly, equally, and respectfully
- Minimum 3 years’ hands-on experience in a domiciliary care environment
- Proven experience in care coordination and rota planning
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Confident, professional telephone manner
- Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills
- A proactive, supportive, and person-centred approach
