We support individuals to live independently in their own homes while promoting dignity, choice, and meaningful outcomes that enhance quality of life. We are now launching The Boomerang Training Academy, designed to raise care standards both internally and externally. We are looking for a Healthcare Lead Trainer to help build, develop, and lead this exciting new initiative.
The Role: As Healthcare Lead Trainer, you will design, deliver, and assess engaging, high-quality training for both new and experienced care professionals. Your role will be key in developing confident, competent, and compliant staff across our organisation and beyond. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about care, enjoys developing others, and wants to play a key role in shaping the future of training within a growing organisation.
- Deliver induction and refresher training (e.g. Moving & Handling, Medication, Infection Control)
- Support staff development aligned with the Care Certificate
- Design and deliver ad-hoc short courses
- Attend Train-the-Trainer courses to expand training delivery
- Manage the Registered Training Centre with our awarding body
- Maintain accurate training records and monitor compliance
- Ensure all training meets CQC and regulatory standards
- Deliver in-house and external training to public and private sector organisations
- Work collaboratively with care teams to identify learning and development needs
About You: You are a motivated self-starter with strong communication skills, commercial awareness, and a passion for delivering high-quality care training. You are confident, creative, and ready to lead training initiatives locally, regionally, and nationally — with future opportunities internationally.
- Domiciliary or Home Care experience
- Level 3 (or above) in Health & Social Care
- Recognised training qualification (PTLLS, AET, or equivalent)
- Strong knowledge of care legislation and CQC requirements
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Experience in a coaching, mentoring, or training role
