Boomerang Healthcare is looking for a compassionate and confident Homecare Supervisor to support our community-based care services in Gateshead.

This is a guaranteed-hours role offering stability, progression, and the opportunity to make a real difference.

About the Role

As a Homecare Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring high-quality, person-centred care while supporting and mentoring care staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting service users with both complex and routine care needs in their own homes
• Delivering personal care, companionship, and domestic support when required
• Mentoring, training, and supporting new and existing care staff
• Completing care plans, reviews, and quality checks
• Conducting medication audits
• Providing out-of-hours support on a rota basis
• Supporting service users with social outings and medical appointments

What We’re Looking For

Essential

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a care role
• NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care
• Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
• Strong communication and IT skills
• Experience with moving and handling

Desirable (training can be provided)

• NVQ Level 3 or 4
• PEG feeding experience
• Experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities
• Medication management experience
