• In this role, you will focus on driving the successful delivery of your team’s initiatives while ensuring high-quality software that meets both technical standards and customer expectations.
• You’ll provide technical expertise and guidance, troubleshooting complex issues and influencing architectural decisions.
• With a focus on continuous improvement, you’ll promote agile and engineering best practices to sustain operational excellence.
• Collaborating closely with the Product Manager and stakeholders, you’ll align team deliverables with strategic business goals to maximise customer value and anticipate market trends.
• Clear and effective communication with peers, leadership, and stakeholders will be key to maintaining alignment and transparency.
• Additionally, you’ll play an active role in recruitment, retention, and the professional growth of team members through constructive evaluations and development plans.

Requirements:

• Recent experience as an Engineering Manager.
• Strong leadership skills to inspire and guide team members.
• Able to manage team dynamics, build relationships, and build a cohesive team environment.
• Strong software development proficiency in any leading technology, preferably Python.
• Understanding of software architecture and systems design, including the ability to contribute to architectural decisions and practical experience in microservice architecture.
• Proficient knowledge of agile and lean practices, including Scrum, Kanban, or other agile frameworks, and able to combine these methodologies with project management tools to enhance team performance.
• Ability to analyse metrics and use data-driven insights to guide decision-making and improve processes.
• Experience in working with a DevOps mindset, with practical experience in best practices like TDD, CI/CD, and Observability.
