Simon & Schuster UK is looking for a Digital Marketing Manager to join its new digital-first imprints and be part of a team responsible for building an innovative, data-driven publishing programme from the ground up. Reporting to the Publishing Director, Digital First, this role will lead all marketing activity for new digital-first imprints across ebook and audio, delivering end-to-end campaigns across Amazon advertising, social media, and CRM.
The Digital-First Marketing Manager will lead digital marketing for our new ebook and audio imprints, using data and market insight to deliver measurable initiatives that drive growth and sales. Working closely with digital-first editorial and sales teams, they will refine title positioning, maximise discoverability, and help build an innovative, agile publishing programme for S&S UK. The role includes managing paid social and Amazon AMS campaigns, optimising metadata and title positioning, enhancing product pages, running CRM and email campaigns, and using data and trends to improve targeting and messaging.
The ideal candidate will have experience growing commercial fiction authors, ideally at a digital-first book publisher or in a similarly performance-led digital environment. They will lead digital marketing for our ebook and audio imprints, using data and market insights to drive growth through paid social and Amazon AMS campaigns, metadata and title optimisation, product page enhancements, and CRM and email marketing. They will be highly analytical, confident using insights to guide editorial decisions, experienced in agile working and making last-minute strategic adjustments, and able to independently manage marketing budgets. They should be proactive, detail-oriented, and collaborative, comfortable taking ownership within a small, agile team, and motivated by the opportunity to help build a start-up-style team within a global publisher. They will have a creative, entrepreneurial spirit that thrives on digital innovation, a can-do attitude, and a passion for commercial fiction and inclusive storytelling across genres.
