As a Technical Product Manager, your mission is to power the creation, integrity, and accessibility of all customer bookings. You will be responsible for balancing technical excellence with global business scalability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Ownership: Orchestrate the lifecycle of bookings and ensure data is available via multiple access patterns while maintaining strict data governance and compliance.
  • Scalability & Migration: Drive the migration of high-volume traffic to modern, resilient databases to handle the increased complexity of the Connected Trip.
  • Service Delivery: Build components that enable the business to sell new products, execute new workflows, and trigger automated feedback for order events.
  • Stakeholder Management: Act as the technical bridge between product groups and downstream units like Finance and Machine Learning to ensure their reporting and operational needs are met.

About the team:

You will join the Order Platform track, which acts as the primary system of record and authoritative source for the lifecycle of every reservation. Every time a customer clicks the book button, our systems orchestrate the creation, storage, and subsequent modification of that data. We build highly available, data-intensive Java services using industry-leading technologies.

Key Job Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Lead the long-term vision for how we handle the creation, modification, and cancellation of bookings across all product types.
  • Support the Multi-Vertical Trip: Prioritise features that allow customers to purchase and manage different products, like a hotel and a rental car, in a single, unified transaction.
  • Adopt a service-provider mindset: Treat internal teams (like Flights, Rides, and Attractions) as your primary customers, ensuring they have the self-service tools they need to connect to our platform.
  • Scale global booking traffic: Drive the expansion of platform capabilities to handle the full volume of reservations for major categories like Rides and Flights.
  • Identify technical needs: Use research and internal feedback to define the data and features required by other departments to better serve their customers.
  • Monitor platform health and growth: Use data and experimentation to ensure our systems stay fast and reliable as we move high volumes of search and booking traffic to modern, resilient databases.

Role Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Experienced Practitioner: You bring 3–5 years of relevant experience in Technical Product Management or a similar technical craft, supported by a Bachelor's degree.
  • Technical Proficiency: You have a practical, experience-based understanding of product life cycles and a proven track record of consistently delivering high-quality results.
  • Data-Informed: You have hands-on experience in data testing and a strong analytical mindset, ensuring the integrity and reliability of the systems you oversee.
  • Project Orchestrator: You possess strong project management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
