Booking.comâs Fintech team is pivotal in developing scalable, compliant, and innovative solutions to support our partners and ensure adherence to global regulatory frameworks. Within this team, the RegTech function is responsible for creating and maintaining the technical architecture that underpins critical processes such as Know Your Customer (KYC), Proof of Address (POA), and Know Your Business (KYB). We are seeking a Commercial Associate â RegTech with regulatory compliance experience, either within commercial operations in Financial Services or within Sales/Account/Project management. You will support the Senior Commercial Manager and work closely with Product and Tech teams to ensure seamless partner experiences and operational excellence.
Role Description
As a Commercial Associate â RegTech, you will play a supporting role in managing key partner relationships, acting as advisor on compliance requirements, collaborating with crossâfunctional teams to enhance systems and processes that support partner verification and compliance. This role requires an understanding of KYC/KYB, Screening and other SAAS Compliance tools. The ability to support the management of numerous stakeholders (internal and external) with competing priorities; is key to success in this role.
Key Job Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide support to the Senior Commercial Manager liaising with (e.g., RegTech, Supplier Fraud Teams) and external vendors to optimize KYC, POA, and KYB solutions, ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Support the execution and development of commercial strategies with vendors to achieve cost optimizations, expand services, and support Booking.comâs longâterm objectives.
- Support the management of commercial contracts, vendor exploration, ProofâofâConcept documentation and Project Management.
- Understanding of compliance frameworks, particularly within the UK, EEA and the Americas, with a keen interest in regulatory compliance changes and divergence across markets.
- Analyze vendor performance against SLAs to drive improvements and decisioning.
- Identify and mitigate potential compliance risks to ensure robust and secure systems and processes.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: 5+ years in compliance operations, Sales, account management, or technical Project Management, preferably in the Fintech, Banking and/or Regtech. Candidates must have experience working in a Regulated environment.
- Technical Acumen: Familiarity with the technical architecture and solutions involved in KYC, POA, KYB and other Regtech solutions.
- Compliance experience: Knowledge of regulatory requirements, particularly in sectors such as financial services, hospitality, or technology.
- Negotiation Experience: experience working with legal teams to draft, negotiate and sign contracts.
- Account Management Skills: Demonstrated ability to support complex partner relationships, service reviews, and align with business goals.
- DataâDriven Approach: Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret performance metrics and drive dataâinformed decisionâmaking.
