The FinOps Cloud Analyst at Booking.com will be responsible for analyzing and managing our cloud expenditures, identifying cost-saving opportunities, collaborating with engineering leads to implement optimizations, supporting day-to-day operational tasks related to our internal customers, and delivering comprehensive reports to FinOps leadership.

Key Job Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Regularly analyze our cloud infrastructure spending and identify cost drivers and proactively report on anomalies which are going to impact the cost.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to implement cost optimization recommendations.
  • Work closely with FinOps product managers to deliver cloud budgets & reports, presenting them to finance and engineering leaders for approval.
  • Support our internal customers to get effective cloud forecasting through customized pricing calculators and identifying cost anomalies and mitigating the risk through cost optimization opportunities.
  • Support FinOps documentation in a standard format which can be leveraged by the product team.
  • Resolve & log queries raised by teams through our internal communication channels.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Hands-on experience in optimizing spend across Public Cloud (predominantly AWS, but additional GCP experience is valuable).
  • Experience and working knowledge of native cloud cost management tooling and/or third-party cloud management or optimization platforms (e.g., AWS Cost Explorer, CloudHealth, Apptio/Cloudability, etc.).
  • Strong communication skills, demonstrated by delivering clear, well-structured, and relevant information tailored to the target audience.
  • Prior experience/exposure to working in technical operations teams, and/or DevOps, Cloud Operations teams.
Nice to have:
  • AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner / FinOps Certified Cloud Practitioner certification.
