ABOUT THE POSITION OF SENIOR DIRECTOR FP&A The purpose of FP&A is to provide ‘Decision Making Insights’ to the right person at the right time - whether this be for big strategic decisions via business cases or tactical day-to-day steering through performance reporting & transparency. FP&A’s stakeholders are Director level above with Operational Support being handled with embedded teams throughout the organization. This role leads a team of Business Partners focusing on one or multiple business units.
SCOPE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Providing financial analysis, forecasting and budgeting & strategic support to the General Managers/SVP for their global scope of business activities;
- Preparing & consolidating financial statements in scope of role, with relevant trade performance, metrics, including cost trends, Product profitability, insights into horizontal programs;
- Improving financial planning processes to drive increased efficiency;
- Supporting investment decisions by providing return on investment/net present value/etc., calculations and applies appropriate benchmarks to maximize returns;
- Building a best in class FP&A team, highly engaged and empowered working seamlessly across our locations;
- Overseeing a direct team for the commercial verticals (Ground, Flights, Insurance, Attraction) both in UK and in Netherlands;
- Working closely with Corporate Performance and BPO-Transformations pillar Leads and their teams across NL and UK;
- Creating, updating, and maintaining financial models and detailed forecasts of the departments / units year/3 year plan;
- Preparing internal reports for executive leadership and supporting their decision making;
- Collaborating with FP&A colleagues on company wide financial models and detailed forecasts of the company’s year/3 year plan.
IDEAL EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
- Finance Leader with broad management experience across several functional areas or businesses;
- Master degree or equivalent;
- 12+ years of relevant working experience;
- Strong managerial skills with the ability to lead a team;
- Excellent corporate agility to collaborate and build relationships at all levels of the organization;
- Ability to drive change and adapt quickly in an agile environment;
- Proven ability to marry financial constructs with business knowledge;
- Clear communication, stakeholder,- change management and influencing skills;
- Result driven, active team player and customer focused;
- Marketplace experience; MBA - or CMA/CPA.
