We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support the migration of our existing SAP ECC landscape to the central cloud-based SAP S/4HANA RISE platform. The role will focus on understanding current (“as-is”) business processes and system architecture, defining future-state (“to-be”) processes, and ensuring business requirements are captured and translated effectively into the S/4HANA solution design.
The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, architects, SAP functional teams, and system integrators to ensure that the migration aligns with business objectives while identifying gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Business Process Analysis
- Document and analyse current (“as-is”) business processes, integrations, and system architecture within SAP ECC.
- Collaborate with business units to define future-state (“to-be”) processes aligned with SAP S/4HANA capabilities.
- Facilitate workshops to gather and validate business requirements.
Requirements Management
- Elicit, document, and manage functional and non-functional requirements from business stakeholders.
- Translate business requirements into clear functional specifications for technical and SAP functional teams.
- Ensure traceability between business needs, system design, and delivered solutions.
Architecture & Process Mapping
- Support the development of end-to-end process flows and architecture diagrams for both current and future states.
- Work closely with enterprise and solution architects to align business processes with the S/4HANA architecture.
Gap Analysis
- Perform gap analysis between ECC processes and S/4HANA standard functionality.
- Identify required process changes, configuration needs, or system extensions.
- Provide recommendations for process optimisation and simplification where possible.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as the key liaison between business stakeholders, IT teams, and implementation partners.
- Facilitate alignment between business expectations and SAP best practices.
- Support change management and ensure stakeholder understanding of process changes.
Project Support
- Assist in solution validation, testing preparation, and business acceptance activities.
- Support data migration and integration discussions where relevant to business processes.
- Contribute to project documentation and governance processes.
Required Skills & Experience
Must-have
- Experience working as an analyst on Financial systems & Financial accounting use cases
- Strong business process analysis and process mapping skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability, with experience using data and insights to inform decisions.
- Expertise in requirements elicitation and stakeholder management.
- Experience working in agile or hybrid delivery environments, partnering closely with Product, Engineering and test
Nice-to-have
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst in SAP transformation or migration projects.
- Hands-on experience working with SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA environments.
- Experience supporting ERP migrations, digital transformations, or large-scale system implementations.
- Familiarity with recognised BA practices and standards (e.g. requirements lifecycle management, traceability, approval).
- Comfort working with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Miro
Technical Understanding
- Understanding of SAP ECC architecture and S/4HANA concepts.
- Familiarity with integration landscapes and end-to-end business processes.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional and global teams.
