Booking.com is seeking a full-time Account Manager for our office in Edinburgh!
As an Account Manager supporting the Local Partner Services team in Edinburgh, you will be responsible for managing a regional portfolio and advising our accommodation partners regarding their business performance, market opportunities, and industry trends. You will empower partners on how to use the system, tools, and available products of Booking.com BV with the goal of optimizing their performance on the platform and creating an amazing experience for customers.
Key Job Responsibilities and Duties:
- Identify, research, and contact prospective customers and build positive relationships that will generate future sales and repeat business.
- Maintain a strong relationship with the accommodation partners (i.e. visiting accommodations, contacting on a regular basis).
- Act on leads, partner feedback, and information on competitor activity.
- Translate statistics and insights about Booking.com's competitors as well as local market knowledge into relevant actions.
- Provide training to accommodations about the online reservation systems.
- Support in organizing Booking.com events and webinars, as well as participating in external events and trade fairs representing the company.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor's degree.
- Significant experience in a relevant account management/sales/business development function.
- Proven experience within e-commerce and/or travel industry.
- Solution-oriented and result-driven.
- Strong work ethic; self-directed and resourceful.
- Proactive, flexible, and capable of working independently as well as in a team.
- Good communication and analytical skills.
- Ability to multi-task & flexible attitude.
- Commercially driven attitude.
- Objection handling.
Please note that this role will require up to 50% regional travel, as well as two days per week attendance in our Edinburgh office.
