About the role
As our People Partner for Sales, you'll work at the heart of one of the most commercially important parts of our business, partnering senior leaders across Retail, Foodservice and Venus to build the leadership, capability and culture that drives sustainable growth. This is a strategic partnering role, not a traditional HR position. You'll influence leadership teams, shape organisational design, develop talent pipelines, lead transformation and ensure our people priorities directly support commercial performance.

You will be responsible for:
- Partnering senior commercial leaders to deliver people strategies that support business performance, customer outcomes and sustainable growth.
- Acting as a trusted advisor on leadership effectiveness, organisational performance, culture, talent and capability.
- Building high-performing leadership teams that drive accountability, collaboration and operational excellence.
- Challenging and coaching leaders to create clarity, raise standards and lead confidently through change.
- Developing future leadership capability through robust succession planning, talent reviews and targeted development initiatives.
- Shaping workforce and talent strategies that strengthen commercial capability, customer engagement and sales effectiveness.
- Creating opportunities for Retail, Foodservice and Venus to share best practice, leadership approaches and customer insight, building stronger connections across the wider sales organisation.
- Driving the people aspects of business transformation programmes, helping leaders and colleagues successfully adopt new ways of working.
- Partnering the business to embed our CRM platform, building the skills, confidence and behaviours needed to maximise customer insight and sales performance.
- Using people data, performance trends and commercial insight to identify opportunities, inform decision-making and measure impact.
- Championing a culture of collaboration, inclusion, continuous improvement and shared accountability across the sales community.
You will need:
- Significant experience in a People Partner, HR Business Partner or equivalent role within a complex, fast-paced organisation, preferably a food business within a sales function.
- Experience or knowledge embedding technology, CRM or digital capability programmes preferable salesforce or Microsoft dynamics.
- A proven ability to translate business strategy into practical people solutions that improve performance and capability.
- Experience of organisational design, workforce planning, talent management and succession planning, alongside a solid understanding of employment law, employee relations, organisational change, consultation and governance, with the judgement to manage risk while enabling pace.
- Strong coaching and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to influence and challenge senior leaders constructively creating cultures where people and performance thrive.
- Experience using people data and business insight to inform decision-making and drive measurable outcomes.
- High levels of judgement, integrity and discretion when managing sensitive and complex people matters.
