About the role

To provide the Retail Proposition senior team with key market insight and latest trends, to help develop processes and strategy. You will use competitor analysis, customer feedback and market intelligence from sources such as Lumina, Kantar and the wider business, to build a compelling, profitable proposition. You will provide and develop a structured way for feeding this insight to the necessary key stakeholders.

You will be responsible for:

  • Analysing retail missions, symbol group performance and competitor activity to identify opportunities for our own fascia's.
  • Providing and developing market and commercial data from the Insights team into clear recommendations that strengthen our retail proposition.
  • Producing materials supporting and explaining the proposition for communication to existing and new customers.
  • Monitoring future legislation implications and informing long‑term strategy including HFSS, Vape legislation, DRS, FTG and Value perception.
  • Highlighting and communicating internal and external opportunities within Central Billing, Added Value Services and Marketplace to enhance the overall proposition for the customer.
  • Working with the Product team to translate commercial strategies into clear, actionable retail propositions.
  • Producing regular reporting and recommendations for senior stakeholders.

  • IT knowledge including Microsoft Office, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Previous experience of using CACI reports would be beneficial.

  • Ability to turn complex data into simple, compelling recommendations.
  • Driving collaboration with other key departments.
  • Proven experience within Retail or Wholesale, ideally within convenience or proposition development.
  • Successful record of effectively driving performance.
  • Be inquisitive and information seeking to stay abreast of latest market insight.
  • Have great presentation skills both verbal and written.
