We are looking to recruit a Category Assistant, on a fixed term contract, for our Head Office located at Equity House, Wellingborough to support our Product team. We operate hybrid working. For most colleagues this means working from an office three days, and at home for two days. We will discuss more about this at interview.
Within this role you will be a pivotal part of the Trading team, liaising with customers and building strong working relationships with our suppliers to ensure we have the right range of products at the right price to drive cash profit and customer satisfaction. Our Trading teams are focused on deadlines, problem solving and delivering results. This role is fast paced and provides satisfaction in delivering a great job.
Responsibilities:
- Working as part of a team to provide full administrative support to your Category Manager and the wider team.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal departments, external suppliers and customers.
- Contribute to finding the best ways of working and suggest improvements where required.
Requirements:
- To be a resourceful self-starter with the ability to work independently without direct full-time supervision.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proactive approach with the ability to organise and prioritise tasks.
- Ability to manage workload and deadlines effectively.
- Comprehensive PC skills, including a good use and experience of Excel and Word.
- Extremely organised with excellent attention to detail and follow-through.
- Resourceful and able to work independently as well as within a team.
- Thrives in a dynamic business where accuracy, hard work and flexibility are imperative.
- Ability to exercise appropriate judgement and discretion, especially when handling confidential information.
