Customer Service Supervisor

This role puts you at the forefront of our Business Centre, overseeing a team of over 40 colleagues and driving the high‑standard service our vibrant customer base expects. You will also assume the role of Duty Manager at points throughout the week.
About the role
This fast‑moving, challenging position offers a fantastic opportunity to begin a career in Food Wholesaling while playing a key part in store management and customer experience.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the team complies with legal standards and company procedures at all times.
- Ensure team members are fully trained in cash handling to minimise losses.
- Control debt and recover overdue or failed payments from customers.
- Maintain accurate and timely payroll records.
- Engage with customers to prevent or resolve issues and complaints, using feedback to improve service and satisfaction.
- Liaise with other department supervisors to monitor orders for delivery.
- Manage a team of customer‑focused individuals throughout the reception and checkout area.
Qualifications
- Passionate about providing exceptional customer service.
- Flexible, adaptable and enjoys working with, as well as managing, a team.
- Excellent communicator with some experience in supervising or managing a team.
- Practical experience in the retail trade.
