We have an exciting opportunity for a Supply Planner to join Booker Retail Partners for 6 months to cover a secondment role in the Grocery Team at our Hemel Hempstead Office. Joining the wider product supply team, you will be responsible for achieving and maximising Company product availability targets through careful planning and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
Working hours: 38 hours a week, Monday to Friday. You will be required to work in the office at least 2 days a week.

Responsibilities:
- Optimise service levels within the business unit and supply chain.
- Manage a portfolio of suppliers and product categories.
- Achieve stockholding and wastage budgets, coordinate stock levels, and communicate key issues.
- Forecast, track promotions, and support seasonal activities.
- Collaborate with internal teams to align trading and supply chain goals.
- Develop strong relationships with suppliers and logistics partners to ensure optimal inbound supply.
Requirements:
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
- Strong organization, time management, and prioritization skills.
- Customer service orientation, analytical skills, and proficiency in Excel.
- Proactive, problem-solving mindset, able to work independently.
- Previous procurement or supply chain experience preferred, knowledge of ordering systems and sales forecasting is a plus.
- GCSE or equivalent Maths and English grade C or above.
Desirable: Supply chain professional qualification or degree level education.
