We are recruiting for a Retail Development Manager to join our Booker and Makro Wholesale division. You will work with Premier symbol operators and independent retailers to build relationships and grow their businesses.

Responsibilities

  • Drive new business growth in your region through recruitment of competitor stores and identifying new store opportunities for existing retailers.
  • Manage a defined territory with responsibility for sales, debt, margin, cash profit and customer satisfaction, with an emphasis on sales growth.
  • Collaborate with the General Manager and partners to build relationships and trust with retailers.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Adaptive to people and situations; able to operate with a daily routine but flexible as needed.
  • Solution-focused sales approach with problem-solving abilities and resilience to handle difficult conversations.
  • Familiar with the local area and the social and economic factors affecting it.
  • Willingness to travel frequently.

Working Pattern and Requirements

  • 5-day week with possible weekend and bank holiday work.
  • Frequent travel required.
