The predicted salary is between 24000 - 36000 £ per year.
Transport Operations Clerks are responsible for the administration of the Transport department including the operational activity and support of the warehouse administration as required. Your duties will vary depending on what’s required on the day so being flexible is an important skill to have.
Working Hours:
- Fridays 2pm - 10pm
- Saturdays 9am - 5pm
- Sundays 9am - 5pm
- Mondays 2pm - 10pm
Responsibilities:
- Being the first point of contact for all Booker drivers and agency drivers, ensuring all are fully briefed/debriefed and correct paperwork and Proof of Delivery’s are issued and returned.
- Liaising with drivers/customer services throughout the shift to ensure progress on deliveries.
- Allocation of duties.
- Communicating with the Warehouse and other departments to ensure any loading/unloading issues are dealt with and managed as required.
- Manning the brief/debrief desk and ensuring good delivery of customer service to both Booker and agency drivers.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a Transport Department would be advantageous.
- Knowledge using "Locator" system desirable.
- Solid understanding of drivers hours and driving legislation.
- Previous administration experience.
- Strong communication skills - this role relies heavily on being able to communicate with several different people groups.
- Good attention to detail.
- Willingness to work as a team player.
