We are recruiting for Class 1 or Class 2 drivers to join our Transport Team at a Booker Retail Partner site. In this position, you will be responsible for the safe delivery of stock to our independent retailers stores. Rotating shift pattern Monday to Friday and Tuesday to Saturday, 5 days x 9.6 hours = 48 hours. Start times 10:00 - 13:00. Class 1 jobs require handball and manual work which can be physically demanding, including working outside in adverse weather conditions and handballing product at some delivery points.
Responsibilities
- Safe delivery of stock to our 198 cash and carry stores
- Ensure all paperwork is completed after delivery
- Maintain vehicle in good condition at the start and finish of each shift
- Work autonomously and as part of the wider transport team
Qualifications
- Class 1 licence holder
- Driver CPC holder
- Class C+E licence (preferred)
- Ability to deliver excellent customer service
- Experience of multi-drop; temperature-controlled food deliveries preferred
- Flexible in work hours and able to respond to short-notice changes
- All applicants must be CPC qualified
- No more than 6 points on licence, no careless driving, no prosecutions for mobile phone use or drink driving, and must comply with 'Construction of Use'
