Exciting opportunities have arisen at Magor to join the management team as a Warehouse Section Manager.
Responsibilities
- To lead, motivate and develop warehouse team members through performance management to achieve KPI’s for cost, service and people.
- Welfare, security, health and safety of team members.
- To deputise for the Shift Manager.
- To liaise and consult with the Shift Manager on customer service priorities.
- Resolution of customer service issues in a timely manner.
- Recruitment and training of warehouse operatives to maintain KPI’s.
- To control absence and holiday allocations.
- Disciplinary and grievance investigations, action up to a final written warning.
- Maintenance of departmental KPI’s.
- Maintenance of good colleague relationships including trade union representatives.
- Maintenance of a heightened awareness of the need to protect the Company stock from either theft or damage.
- Work to and within provided budgetary constraints for warehouse expenditure; exercise plans to reduce stock loss and control of MHE damage.
You will need
- Management/supervisory experience in a unionised environment (preferred not essential).
- Experience of customer service environment.
- Experienced in dealing with grievances and disciplinary issues.
- Excellent PC and organisational skills.
- Methodical approach to figures and reporting.
- Broad understanding of warehouse and transport processes.
- Good working knowledge of warehouse management systems.
- Understanding of people planning and scheduling processes.
