Overview
IT Analyst – Technical Support Help Desk at Booker. Location: Wellingborough, England, United Kingdom.
We’re looking for someone enthusiastic to join our IT Branch Systems team. If you’re great with technology and enjoy helping people, this could be the role for you.
Day to day, you’ll be supporting our Business Centres by keeping IT systems running smoothly. This means spotting and solving any issues with our branch software or hardware so colleagues can do their work and our customers stay happy. You’ll need a good general knowledge of IT, an interest in tech support, and strong communication skills – being able to explain things clearly is as important as fixing them.
The role is mainly Monday to Friday during office hours, but occasionally you may need to help at weekends or participate in our on-call rota when needed.
Responsibilities
- Provide support to your IS Manager.
- Maintain and manage relevant documentation.
- Ensure that the Technical Support call queue is kept within a manageable size.
- Ensure all documentation, including asset register, is kept updated in conjunction with other teams and third-party providers.
Requirements
- Previous experience in an IT Support role is beneficial but not essential if the candidate can show a willingness to learn and develop.
- Good understanding of Retail IT hardware and software.
- An understanding of MIDAS (Booker’s stock and sales system) is an advantage but not compulsory.
