At Booker, pricing sits at the heart of every commercial decision we make; it's how we create value for customers, stay competitive, grow sales, protect profit and build trust at scale. We're looking for a commercially astute, strategically minded Head of Pricing to take ownership of one of the most influential functions in our business. This is a rare opportunity to define and lead the pricing strategy for the UK's largest wholesaler, partnering with senior leaders across Trading, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Technology and Analytics to drive growth and transform how we think about pricing.

You'll be joining at a pivotal time where customer expectations are changing. Data and AI are creating new opportunities and competition is evolving. We need someone who can see around corners, challenge the status quo and turn insight into action.

  • Defining and leading Booker's end-to-end pricing strategy
  • Driving sales, margin and profit through smart, customer-focused pricing decisions
  • Shaping the future of personalised pricing using data science and AI
  • Protecting and strengthening customer price trust and perception
  • Turning market and competitor insight into actionable commercial advantage
  • Leading pricing governance, investment decisions and performance reporting
  • Influencing senior stakeholders across Trading, Commercial, Sales, Finance, Marketing, Analytics and Technology
  • Building a high-performing team while driving capability and change across the business

You'll bring a strong commercial background and a track record of delivering results through pricing, category, buying or commercial strategy. We're particularly interested in people who have experience in:

  • Pricing strategy and transformation
  • Commercial decision-making ideally in retail, wholesale or FMCG (preferred)
  • Customer and market insight
  • Data-led decision making
  • Leading and influencing senior stakeholders
  • Driving change in complex, fast-paced environments

Experience working with partners such as Dunnhumby, Nielsen, Circana (IRI) or Kantar would be advantageous.

Some people are at the start of their careers; some want the freedom to do the things they love. Others are going through life-changing moments like becoming a carer, nearing retirement, adapting to parenthood, or something else. So, talk to us throughout your application about how we may be able to support you.

Please note: We can only accept candidates over the age of 18 if the role requires working before 6:15 am or after 9:45 pm or involves working in areas such as the warehouse, beers, wines & spirits, and driving roles. On the occasions where we have high volumes of applicants, some roles may close earlier than the advertised end date in order for us to manage all of the applicants appropriately. We will only be able to offer individual feedback to those candidates who attend an interview.
