The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.
The Warehouse Team Manager will support the site management team in the efficient and cost effective management of the warehouse operations. It will be your responsibility to ensure the smooth running of the daily Warehouse operation and enable the required level of service to be provided to the customer at all times.
You will be responsible for ensuring that the receiving, storing, picking and dispatch of goods is done in the correct manner to agreed productivity levels and within budgetary constraints, whilst maintaining a safe working environment through effective team management.
You will need:
- Working knowledge of the Warehouse function within the FMCG distribution industry.
- Working knowledge of the business and operational aspects of supervising a depot Warehouse operation.
- General knowledge of the Transport function would be an advantage.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage & train colleagues.
- Computer skills, particularly using the MS Office suite for reporting and formal disciplinary processes.
Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- GCSE Maths and English grade C or above or equivalent.
- Knowledge of warehouse functions in an FMCG environment.
- Working knowledge of the operational aspects of supervising a warehouse operation.
- A good understanding of warehousing, logistics and customer service.
- Ability to foster a co-operative work environment.
- Ability to motivate others and encourage teamwork.
- Able to handle conflict in a confidential and professional manner.
- Able to prioritise workloads & work well under pressure.
- PC literate in MS Office suite 365.
- Able to work as part of a team.
- Demonstrate excellent people skills.
- Strong communication & willingness to learn.

- Knowledge of warehouse functions in a food environment.
- Appreciation of finance and budgetary controls.
- Working knowledge of employment legislation.

- Practical knowledge of MHE use.
- General awareness of the activities in other supply chain departments.
- Basic Food Handling Certificate, IOSH.
