About the role
The Warehouse Team Manager will support the site management team in the efficient and cost effective management of the warehouse operations. It will be your responsibility to ensure the smooth running of the daily Warehouse operation and enable the required level of service to be provided to the customer at all times.
You will be responsible for ensuring that the receiving, storing, picking and dispatch of goods are carried out correctly, meeting agreed productivity levels and staying within budget, while maintaining a safe working environment through effective team management.
You will need
To be successful you’ll have working knowledge of the Warehouse function within the FMCG distribution industry and knowledge of the business and operational aspects of supervising a depot warehouse operation. General knowledge of the transport function would be an advantage. As you will be leading a team of warehouse operatives, you’ll have excellent communication skills and the ability to manage and train colleagues. Your computer skills will be important as you will be using the MS Office suite on a daily basis for reporting and formal disciplinary processes.
