About the role

We're thrilled to introduce our brand new Driver Academy, right here at Fareham Distribution, an exciting opportunity to build your driving career with us. Our drivers are at the heart of our operation. Every day, you'll be out on the road representing our business, delivering essential goods to our Retailers and keeping our supply chain moving smoothly. You'll take pride in ensuring our caged deliveries reach stores safely, and on your return. This is a hands-on, active role perfect for someone who enjoys staying physically fit. You'll be moving cages and lifting goods, all while working as part of a supportive, experienced team who'll help you every step of the way. Join us and take the wheel of a rewarding career journey.

You will be responsible for

  • The safe delivery of stock to our independent retailers' stores.
  • Completing several multi-drop deliveries a day (the amount each day will vary).
  • Ensuring all paperwork is completed after delivery.
  • That your vehicle is in good condition at the start and finish of your shift.
  • Working autonomously as well as part of the wider transport team.

You will need

  • To receive fully funded training and receive a qualification for Class 2 Driving.
  • To be able to drive and have been driving for over 2 years (Cat B).
  • Driver CPC training given.
  • Ability to deliver excellent customer service as you will be the face of Booker when completing deliveries.
  • Experience of multi-drop; temperature controlled food deliveries will be part of the Academy.
  • Available to work 45 hours a week (overtime available after passing Academy).
  • Flexible approach to working hours as routes vary daily and will include Saturdays.
