Part-time Class 1 Driver Shunter Position – 20 to 30 hours per week. Specific hours discussed at interview. Overtime opportunities also available. Fully funded CPC training hours provided.
We are currently recruiting for a part‑time Class 1 Shunter/Driver at our Booker Retail Partners Site in Thamesmead. This role offers 20‑30 hours across Monday to Friday, with flexibility for shifts based on preference. We offer air‑conditioned vehicles and a 30‑minute paid break, and will support you in keeping your CPC training up to date.
This role is primarily for a shunter at our Thamesmead site; delivery work may require handball and manual work and can be physically demanding, including working outside in adverse weather conditions.
Requirements:
- Class 1 Licence Holder
- Driver CPC Holder
- Ability to deliver excellent customer service
- Experience of shunting preferred but not essential
- Experience of multi‑drop; temperature‑controlled food deliveries preferred, but not essential
- Successful applicants need to be flexible in work and hours (including short notice)
Eligibility:
Candidates must be over 18 if the role requires working before 6:15 am or after 9:45 pm or in areas such as the warehouse, beer, wine & spirits, and driving roles.
