Exciting opportunities have arisen at Magor to join the management team as a Warehouse Section Manager.

Responsibilities include:

  • Leading, motivating and developing warehouse team members through performance management to achieve KPI’s for cost, service and people.
  • Ensuring welfare, security, health and safety of team members.
  • Deputising for the Shift Manager.
  • Liaising and consulting with the Shift Manager on customer service priorities.
  • Resolving customer service issues in a timely manner.
  • Recruiting and training warehouse operatives to maintain KPI’s.
  • Controlling absence and holiday allocations.
  • Conducting disciplinary and grievance investigations, taking action up to a final written warning.
  • Maintaining departmental KPI’s.
  • Maintaining good colleague relationships including trade union representatives.
  • Protecting the Company stock from theft or damage.
  • Working within provided budgetary constraints for warehouse expenditure; exercising plans to reduce stock loss and control of MHE damage.

Skills/Knowledge (Preferred not essential):

  • Management/supervisory experience in a unionised environment.
  • Experience in a customer service environment.
  • Experience dealing with grievances and disciplinary issues.
  • Excellent PC and organisational skills.
  • Methodical approach to figures and reporting.
  • Broad understanding of warehouse and transport processes.
  • Good working knowledge of warehouse management systems.
  • Understanding of people planning and scheduling processes.
  • Extensive knowledge.
