Shift Hours: Full Time hrs per week (Any 5 of 7)

Due to the integration of a new BRP Haydock Outbase into our existing DC transport operation, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an additional Trainer (Part Time/Driving Duties) to join our existing training team. Our training team are key to our operation, helping us to train and develop our colleagues to ensure they always comply with our Health, Safe and Legal requirements. Flexibility is key within the role to ensure training coverage over all operational hours.
Main responsibilities of the role are:
- To support the Transport Training Manager & Section Managers in developing the team of driver colleagues
- To support in the continuous improvement of a Health, Safe, Legal and efficient transport operation in line with the site strategy ensuring compliance with Company policies, procedures and Health and Safety legislation and Transport legal compliance.
- To provide training for driver colleagues to include, but not exhaustive:
- In-cab training
- Company procedures (SOP’s)
- Current legislation (Tachograph Legislation)
- Driver CPC
- Driving assessments
- Driver Inductions
- Agency drivers’ assessments and site inductions
- Drug / Alcohol Testing & Licence checks
Supply chain experience will be considered in lieu of qualifications.
Requirements:
- Drug & Alcohol Trained
- RTITB Driver assessor
- I.O.S.H. General Certificate
- P.U.W.E.R. assessment skills
- IT Literate
- Knowledge of Driver Hours, Tachographs and Working Time Regulations, transport legislation and Health & Safety legislation
- DSA trained standards, such as Train the Trainer
- Deliver to timescales
- Ability to work on own initiative
- Methodical approach to figures and reporting
- Effective communication (both written and verbal) with all parties required
- Influencing / Coaching / Training skills
- Numerate and literate
- Positive attitude, Effective communicator at all levels, Team working skills
- Well-organised
- High Attention to detail, and show initiative, resilience and tenacity
