We’re looking for a Procurement Manager to join our Goods and Services Not For Resale (GSNFR) team within Booker. Within this role you will drive maximum value from Booker’s GSNFR spend by delivering robust procurement strategies, reducing base cost, and ensuring all activity remains safe, legal, and fully compliant. This role plays a key part in shaping Booker’s transformation journey, improving supplier performance, and embedding best‑in‑class procurement practices across the business.
- Develop and deliver category strategies across assigned GSNFR areas, aligned to Booker and Tesco transformation priorities.
- Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders across the UK and internationally.
- Lead annual and in‑year negotiations to secure competitive commercial terms and deliver year‑on‑year savings.
- Identify, scope, and implement cost‑reduction initiatives and value‑driven projects.
- Support the rollout of new ways of working across Booker/Tesco GSNFR, ensuring consistency, compliance, and continuous improvement.
- Manage supplier performance through structured reviews, acting as the escalation point for contract or service issues.
- Review existing and potential suppliers to ensure they meet Booker/Tesco sustainability, risk, and service standards.
- Develop procurement plans for your categories, ensuring clear priorities, timelines, and measurable outcomes.
- Champion innovation, automation, and service improvements to enhance efficiency and stakeholder satisfaction.
- Contribute to the development of team capability and support the delivery of the wider GSNFR cost‑reduction plan.
