The predicted salary is between 25000 - 35000 £ per year.
This is a key role in the Dock area of our operation at our Outbase. The role is physically demanding, and the successful candidate will need to be able to manoeuvre heavy mixed cages between Temperature Controlled environments, as part of the duties assigned to the position.
Successful candidates will be required to work 5 days per week between Sunday and Thursday with shift hours of 20:00 hrs to 04:00 hrs.
- Shunting duties
- Unloading crossdock trailers and re-loading delivery vehicles.
- Use of dock levellers and loading bays
- Manage/oversee vehicle movements around the yard
- Responsible for alarm setting of loading area
- Liase with drivers on expectations and deal with operational delays/challenges
- Vehicle temperature checks
- Follow key safe procedure
- Completing new load sheets
- Call outs for vehicle breakdowns
- Follow security procedures
- General oversight of the night trunking operation
- Liaise with DC on challenges/delays to loading
You must hold a valid C+E Licence (Class I Licence). We are looking for flexible, reliable people with a can do attitude and great team working ethics who will support Booker in achieving its aim to ensure 100% customer satisfaction. A basic understanding of Health and Safety is essential, along with a good standard of literacy and numeracy skills.
