About the role:
- Work as a Van driver performing a mix of duties, including picking for the delivery team and supporting the delivery operation in achieving first‑class customer service.
- Accurately pick and dispatch goods by picking against a hand‑held terminal and advising the Manager of any differences.
- Check quality, shelf life and ensure packaging is robust in preparation for delivery.
- Provide a high standard of customer service by processing deliveries efficiently and to target.
- Deliver goods while providing first‑class service to customers.
- Be polite when dealing with delivery staff and respond appropriately to queries and complaints, referring any complex situations to someone who can help.
- Load stock into the vehicle at the branch and unload at the customer premises, ensuring the paperwork is completed accurately.
