This role is for a temporary contract of 6 months. Booker Group is the UK's leading wholesaler recruiting for a Delivery Planning Assistant to work within our busy head office based in Wellingborough. With a mix of office and home working within our contact centre, the main purpose of your role will be:
- Responsible for the scheduling of customers deliveries
- Planning deliveries whilst being able to multitask and assist other team members where required
- Ensure your daily tasks are completed accurately and efficiently
- Complete all mandatory training within timeframes given
The delivery team works 7 days a week, you will work 38 hours per week over 5 days. The working hours for this role will be between 3pm - 12am. You will be responsible for:
- Successfully planning and managing Branch Customer Schedules
- Onboarding and maintaining customers delivery requirements
- Implementing company policy and procedure changes
- Successfully landing company system changes positively
- Work with the Delivery Planning Supervisors to find continual improvement
- Liaising with BC teams and other colleagues
- Support a culture which recognises the right behaviours and makes Booker ‘A Place to Get On’.
You will need:
- Planning experience is not essential as full training will be provided
- Positive in nature, and driven to exceed expectations
- Excellent communication skills to be able to provide timely updates, highlighting barriers to success
