The Account Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth, client retention, and commercial performance across a portfolio of accounts. Acting as a trusted advisor and strategic partner, you will identify opportunities to increase client value, expand services, improve operational performance, and maximise revenue potential. This is a highly commercial role requiring a proactive and consultative approach. You will build strong relationships with decision-makers, uncover growth opportunities, influence client strategy, and ensure clients achieve measurable outcomes through our solutions.

You will take ownership of account performance, regularly analysing commercial data, identifying risks and opportunities, and presenting growth plans and performance insights to senior leadership. Success in this role will be measured by revenue growth, client retention, profitability, client satisfaction, and the successful generation of new business opportunities.

Key Objectives of the Role

  • Drive revenue growth and profitability across a portfolio of client accounts.
  • Increase client retention and lifetime value through exceptional relationship management and strategic account development.
  • Identify, develop, and convert upsell, cross-sell, and expansion opportunities.
  • Generate new business opportunities through client referrals, networking, and commercial relationship development.
  • Deliver proactive account management that strengthens client engagement and commercial performance.
  • Develop and execute account growth strategies that support both client objectives and company targets.

Client Relationship & Commercial Growth

  • Act as the primary commercial contact for assigned accounts, building strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders.
  • Develop a deep understanding of each client's business, challenges, objectives, and growth plans.
  • Identify opportunities to increase revenue through additional services, product adoption, optimisation initiatives, and strategic recommendations.
  • Position yourself as a trusted advisor, providing insight, guidance, and commercially focused solutions that deliver measurable value.
  • Create and execute account development plans designed to increase account value and long-term retention.

Revenue Growth & Business Development

  • Take ownership of revenue performance across your portfolio, consistently seeking opportunities to grow account value.
  • Proactively identify and secure upsell, cross-sell, and expansion opportunities.
  • Generate new business opportunities through referrals, introductions, networking, and relationship building.
  • Work closely with prospects identified through existing client relationships to support business growth.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop and present compelling commercial proposals and growth initiatives.
  • Maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities and accurately forecast potential revenue growth.

Growth & Opportunity Development

  • Lead strategic growth planning sessions with clients, identifying opportunities for expansion and long-term partnership development.
  • Align our products and services with client growth objectives to maximise commercial outcomes.
  • Introduce new solutions, features, and services that drive operational improvements and increased client value.
