MTLS is looking for a scouting assistant

We are a dynamic international scouting agency working with European publishing clients, as well as a number of UK-based production companies. We are a busy office and are looking for someone to join our close-knit team. It’s a full time role, and we are mostly office based (with some flexibility). The role requires a detail oriented, highly organised individual, who is also a voracious reader with a real passion for stories (from a variety of genres), be it in the form of books, podcasts, articles, or film and TV. The ideal candidate will have a good eye for detail and experience in administration. A second language would be of advantage. This is an excellent opportunity to get into the world of international publishing and film/TV development and to begin building relationships in the industry.

Responsibilities include tracking manuscript submissions, sales, and deliveries; database entry; keeping the office diary and scheduling appointments for the team and for clients; writing entries for our client memos; evaluating manuscripts and writing reader reports and beginning to build a network of contacts in the publishing and film/TV worlds.
