The MM Agency is looking for an energetic and highly organised assistant with a passion for children\’s & young adult books to work closely with Chloe Seager and her associate Maddy Belton. The successful applicant will be an avid reader and a team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills. They will have good knowledge of the children\’s & YA market, a meticulous eye for detail, the ability to proactively juggle multiple tasks at once, a natural flair for social media, and will be able to use and develop systems with ease, thinking both methodically and creatively.

Responsibilities include digital and diary management (email, website and social media), organising trips, promoting authors, liaising between departments, author care, database entry, contracts, tax form and royalty support, reporting on manuscripts, tracking publication schedules, and general office admin. This role is based in the London office from Monday to Thursday and will be remote on Fridays.

Salary commensurate with experience, but will start at £24,000.

Described as a \”major force in publishing\” by the Bookseller, the Madeleine Milburn Literary, TV & Film Agency is a dedicated, passionate and global literary agency representing bestselling and award-winning authors.

The agency\’s children\’s & YA list includes authors such as Katie Kirby, a number 1 Sunday Times bestseller, and other bestselling authors such as Lex Croucher, Laura Steven, Kathryn Foxfield, Anna Fargher and JJA Harwood. It also includes an array of award-winning authors including Maisie Chan, winner of the Jhalak Prize and Branford Boase, Benjamin Dean, winner of the Diverse Book Awards, Helen Rutter, winner of the Lollies 9-12 Award, and Danielle Jawando, winner of the YA Book Prize.
