To support and assist in Darley Anderson\’s role as CEO and across his dynamic list of bestselling authors

Established by Darley Anderson in 1988, Darley Anderson Agency and Associates represents international bestselling and award winning authors of commercial fiction.

We are looking to hire a part-time Assistant to CEO Darley Anderson, to support and assist in his role as CEO and across his dynamic list of bestselling authors. The successful candidate will have superb attention to detail, they will be enthusiastic, organised and hard-working with excellent administrative skills. They must be a voracious reader and have an enormous passion for commercial fiction.

The role is ideal for someone with previous experience in assisting and office work, either in publishing or another sector. The role would be three days per week (Monday to Wednesday) in the Agency offices in London.

The salary will start from £30,000 pro rata dependent on experience with an additional travel allowance.

The role includes:
• General assistance and full administrative support for Darley Anderson including email and Microsoft management
• Being an important point of contact for clients, publishers and enquiries
• Management of website and agency social media
• Managing databases including sales figures and publication schedules
• Organising meetings
• Tracking payments due
• Reading manuscripts and writing reports
• Supporting submissions

The ideal candidate will:
• Have experience working in a busy office environment (essential)
• Be able to take initiative and anticipate needs
• Have excellent organisation, time management and diary keeping skills
• Have strong communication skills and be a team player
• Love reading all types of commercial and entertainment fiction
• Be well versed in Microsoft systems
• Have a good working understanding of social media
