The Business Manager to the Group CTO acts as a strategic and operational partner, working closely with the CTO to drive the execution of the Group Technology agenda. Sitting at the intersection of technology, strategy, and delivery, this role enables clarity, prioritisation, and alignment across engineering, product, and platform teams. It focuses on managing, analysing, and synthesising key internal documents and communications, including the review and prioritisation of leadership inputs, analysis of operational and strategic data, and the preparation of actionable insights. The role requires a highly analytical professional with exceptional communication, organisational, and problem‑solving skills.
What will you do:
- Drive the operating cadence of the technology function (e.g. leadership forums, delivery reviews, roadmap checkpoints).
- Support the CTO in tracking technology roadmap execution, delivery milestones, and deployment progress.
- Ensure clear visibility of priorities, dependencies and risks across engineering and product teams.
- Maintain alignment between Group strategy, tech roadmap and execution plans.
- Coordinate and review internal communications in the respective departments, including the email inbox, flagging critical issues, and drafting initial responses when necessary.
- Coordinate the key steering committee meetings (attendees, agenda, document management) with focus on outcomes.
- Prioritise, organise and summarise documents for the Group CTO’s attention, ensuring all relevant background and context are provided.
- Assist in drafting and editing official communications from the Group CTO to internal stakeholders.
- Work closely with the PA to the Group CTO to ensure that the calendar and meetings are correctly prioritised.
- Translate complex technical data into clear, actionable insights for executive decision‑making.
- Prepare detailed reports, presentations and briefing materials for top management meetings, aligning with strategic objectives.
- Support the development of dashboards and reporting for the CTO and leadership team.
- Manage special projects on behalf of the Group CTO, coordinating across departments to ensure timely completion.
- Track project progress, identifying potential roadblocks and proposing solutions to maintain momentum.
- Support preparation and follow‑up for executive meetings, including managing agendas, action items and deliverables.
- Act as a primary point of contact for internal stakeholders on behalf of the Group CTO, ensuring clear communication and addressing inquiries.
- Work closely with the executive team to align priorities, share insights and keep track of key organisational developments.
- Maintain confidentiality and discretion in handling sensitive information.
- Support resolution of cross‑functional bottlenecks impacting delivery.
- Monitor technology trends, digital platforms and competitor capabilities.
- Provide insights on emerging technologies, innovation opportunities and industry benchmarks.
What do you need to succeed:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, technology, engineering or a related field; MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
- 3–5 years of experience in a business, consulting or analytical role, ideally with exposure within technology, product or digital environments.
- Exceptional analytical and data interpretation skills with high attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience drafting and editing executive‑level documents.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint. MS project tools is advantageous.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and maintain a professional demeanour.
- Proactive, with strong organisational and time‑management skills, capable of managing multiple priorities effectively.
- Ability to work with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
