The role

Are you creative, organised, curiousand a great communicator?

Vintage is looking for aproactive Senior Marketing Executive to plan and implement outstanding multichannelmarketing campaigns.

Working primarily on our non-fiction list The Bodley Head, andour Vintage Classics imprint, this role willbe responsible forplanning, budgeting, executingand reporting onlaunch campaigns in collaboration with colleagues in Editorial, Publicity, Sales and beyond.

Key responsibilities

  • Plan and execute impactful campaigns for yourtitles, includingidentifyingthe audience, creative consumer message, planning media space, partnershipsand campaign analysis, to meet agreedobjectivesand timelines.
  • Work with designers to producebest-in-class, attention-grabbing campaign creativeandwrite clear, original campaign copy to attract trade and consumer attention and make Vintage books stand out in the market.
  • Work closely with our media agency partnerstorunwell-targeted, effective digital campaigns, monitoringperformanceagainst benchmarkstoestablisha framework for continuous improvement.
  • Support the continued growth of the Vintage Classics brand, bringing an audience-first approach that uses consumer, cultural and market insights toidentifyopportunities to reach new readers and drive sales.
  • Work closely withhome and internationalsalesteamsto present our books in an impactful way that drive sales.
  • Communicate with authors, agentsand colleagues clearly andina timelymanner.
  • Read submissionsfrom a range of Vintage imprintsand provide market-led feedback, working onauthorpitchesasrequired.
  • Build relationships with and grow your contact book of influencers, booksellers, brandpartners, designagenciesand otherrelevantroles.
  • Contribute to creative brainstorms, generateideasand develop them into sales-driving campaign strategies.
  • Monitor competitor activity and be curious about the world around you to inform and inspire new ways of reaching readers.
  • Demonstrable experienceplanning and executinghighly creative andsales-drivingmarketingcampaigns, withinpublishingor otherindustries.
  • An ability toleverageaudience insights and datato informmarketing strategies.
  • Passionateandknowledgeableabout marketing, keen to pursue new opportunities and ways of reaching readers and tostay on top of book, consumerandmarketingtrends.
  • A love of books and reading (non-fiction and classics in particular).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, in person and online, with the ability to work cross-functionally and liaise with various teams.
  • Organised, flexible and adaptable, ability to handle conflictingpriorities/projects.
  • A creative, curious, innovativeand inclusive approach.
  • Able to work effectively bothina team and independently.
  • Preferred criteria
  • Knowledge of and experience in running organic and paid for social media activity is highly desirable, though not essential.
  • Experience in working with external agencies and managing media planning and activity.
  • A genuine interest in the classics market, bringing curiosity and ambition to build brand equity through creative marketing campaigns.

Circa£35,000dependent on how your skills and experience align to the role, plus bonus and benefits.
