What You’ll Do As a Senior Support Worker
- Be a positive role model to the children and your team, leading by example with empathy, consistency, and integrity.
- Take an active role in creating and maintaining a safe, stimulating environment.
- Support children who may have experienced trauma, with behaviours that challenge with compassion and strength.
- Contribute to and lead on key working, risk assessments, and care planning.
- Guide and mentor junior staff, promoting best practice across the home.
- Assist the Registered Manager and Deputy in ensuring high standards, policy compliance, and quality assurance.
About You

- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
- Solid knowledge of Children’s Homes Regulations (2015) & Ofsted requirements
- Experience with children/young people with autism, learning disabilities, or behavioural challenges
- Resilient, calm under pressure, and skilled in de-escalation
- Confident communicator, strong team player, and IT proficient
- Willingness to work a shift pattern including weekends, evenings, and sleep-ins
