With a focus on streetwear, activewear & going-out-gear, product is everything to us and we don’t do anything substandard, not now, not ever. At Debenhams Group, we are on a journey of transformation, revitalising our brand, culture, and connection with colleagues and customers alike. In a fast-changing retail environment, effective and authentic communication is vital to building trust, aligning our teams, and amplifying the impact of our work across internal and external audiences. We are looking for a sharp, creative, and data driven Digital Marketing Executive to join our fast-paced team. Reporting directly to the Head of Digital, you will play a crucial role in supporting the day-to-day management of multiple high-growth performance channels, including Paid Social, PPC, CRM (Email, App Push, & SMS), and Affiliates.

This role is perfect for someone who already has foundational experience in these digital channels and is hungry to step up into a fast-moving global fashion brand. This is a highly creative and asset-driven position; you will collaborate closely with our internal Marketing, Creative, and Graphic Design teams to ensure our ad strategy and CRM campaigns are delivered on time, meet performance expectations, and align with multi-channel asset requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Paid Social & Channel Management: Work collaboratively with our digital agency to set up, optimize, and scale paid social campaigns across Facebook, TikTok, and Snapchat across multiple international territories to hit strict KPIs.
  • CRM Execution & Campaign Broadcast: Support the end-to-end execution of the CRM calendar, including the setup, scheduling, HTML building/testing, and deployment of weekly global email campaigns, App Push notifications, and SMS broadcasts.
  • A/B Testing & Optimization: Assist in setting up ongoing A/B tests across CRM channels (testing subject lines, send times, creative layouts, and CTAs) to improve open rates, click-through rates (CTR), and revenue-per-send.
  • PPC & Optimization: Perform regular keyword research, campaign preparation, and ongoing analysis. Execute weekly negative keyword research and search query reporting to maximize ROI.
  • Reporting & Insights: Deliver accurate daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports across acquisition (Paid/PPC) and retention (CRM) channels, alongside bespoke ad-hoc analysis to guide future strategy.
  • Google Ads: Support the optimisation of our Google Ads strategy across Performance Max and Demand Gen, including asset updates, spend management, auction insights, and search/category analysis.
  • Competitor Intelligence: Conduct ongoing competitor analysis and monitoring—including tracking competitor email and push notification strategies—to keep us ahead of the market.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with the Merchandising team to align stock allocations with upcoming promotional activities, daily forecasted sales, and CRM push strategies.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Maintain excellent communication lines when working across internal departments and externally with agency partners, tech suppliers, and ESPs.
What We’re Looking For
  • Experience: Proven experience in a digital marketing, paid media, or dedicated retention/CRM role (ideally within e-commerce or retail).
  • Agency & Tool Familiarity: Experience working directly with performance marketing agencies and hands-on exposure to an enterprise-level Email Service Provider (ESP) or Customer Engagement Platform (such as Klaviyo, Braze, Emarsys, or Salesforce Marketing Cloud).
  • CRM Technical Skills: Basic understanding of HTML/CSS for email optimization, dynamic content tags, and setting up automated lifecycle flows (e.g., welcome series, abandoned cart, win-backs).
  • Platform Knowledge: Solid hands-on or working knowledge of major platforms including Google Ads, Facebook Ads Manager, TikTok Ads, and Bing.
  • Data & Analytics: Good working knowledge of Google Analytics (GA4), customer database segmentation, and experience working with product data feeds.
  • Tech Savvy: Proficient in Microsoft Office, with advanced skills in Excel.
  • Analytical Mindset: Highly numerate with strong analytical skills and previous experience utilizing bid management tools.
  • Creative Eye: A strong passion for digital marketing, trend-awareness, and an understanding of what assets perform best visually in a fashion landscape—whether in a paid social ad or an email inbox.
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional attention to detail (essential for QA-ing emails before they broadcast to millions of users), brilliant communication skills, and a proactive attitude suited for a fast-paced environment.

At Debenhams Group we thrive on change, innovation, and pace. Every challenge is an opportunity, and every day is a chance to push boundaries. If you’re someone who embraces the unknown, thrives in a fast-moving, high-growth environment, and is ready to shape the future of retail, you’ll love it here. We want visionaries, disruptors, and doers—people who bring fresh thinking, relentless energy, and the drive to make an impact.
