Overview

Assistant Merchandiser – Level 2. Manchester | Full-time. We’re looking for an Assistant Merchandiser (Level 2) to join our team at boohoo. In this role, you’ll step up to take ownership of your own product category, working closely with the Merchandiser to drive trading decisions, manage stock strategies, and influence planning across the season.

Responsibilities

  • Lead trade reporting - deliver weekly commentary by subcategory, present in trade meetings, and spot risks/opportunities.
  • Own the WSSI - manage forecasting inputs, summarise weekly changes, and build seasonal plans with the Merchandiser.
  • Drive rebuy strategy - identify opportunities, raise POs, plan freight methods, and forecast line cards with key events in mind.
  • Oversee intake & stock - manage category-level intake, align to budgets, and lead strategies for seasonal deadlines.
  • Contribute to strategy - prepare lessons learnt packs, support seasonal planning with Buying, and track market/competitor trends.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn data into actionable insights.
  • Experience with WSSI, line cards, and reporting tools (Power BI, Sage).
  • Confidence to influence and challenge across Buying, Warehouse, and Suppliers.
  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset with excellent time management skills.
