Summary of role
The Marketing and Business Development Executive will support the delivery of the Firm's marketing strategy, working closely with the Marketing & Business Development Director and Marketing Manager across a broad range of marketing initiatives and projects. This role is central to promoting the Firm's profile, enhancing brand visibility and supporting engagement with clients, intermediaries and wider target audiences through effective marketing activity. Reporting to the Marketing & Business Development Director, and working alongside the Marketing Manager, BD Managers, Marketing and BD Executive and Marketing Assistant, the successful candidate will play a key role in the planning and execution of marketing campaigns, digital communications, events and content initiatives.
Skills and experience
- Marketing campaigns: Support the planning, delivery and evaluation of marketing campaigns across all of the Firm's practice areas.
- Insights and Reporting: Monitor campaign performance, website analytics, social media engagement, SEO/GEO/AEO performance and other marketing metrics.
- Content creation and management: Draft, edit and publish high-quality marketing content across a range of channels.
- Digital marketing: Support the Firm's digital presence, including website updates, email marketing, social media activity and digital advertising.
- Events: Coordinate and deliver marketing-led events, webinars, seminars and sponsorship activities.
- PR: Work closely with the Marketing Manager and our external PR agency to identify and maximise opportunities with target publications and media.
- Directory and award submissions: Lead the preparation and coordination of legal directory and award submissions.
- BD and marketing tactics: Supporting the team to deliver a wider range of initiatives as required.
- Internal communications: Taking a lead role in designing and delivering effective internal communications.
- Marketing material: Maintain and develop marketing materials, ensuring content is accurate, engaging and up to date.
- Firm brand: Support the consistent application of the Firm's brand across all marketing channels and materials.
- CRM system engagement: Support the evolution of the CRM activity.
- BD support: This role requires an understanding of the BD strategies and tactics used by the firm.
Skills and Experience
- Minimum 4 years' experience in a marketing role within a professional services environment (legal sector experience desirable).
- Experience delivering successful marketing campaigns across multiple channels.
- Strong content writing and editing skills, with excellent attention to detail.
- Experience of digital marketing, including website management, email marketing and social media platforms.
- Experience coordinating events, webinars and client-facing initiatives.
- Understanding of marketing analytics and the ability to interpret campaign performance data.
- Experience working with CRM and email marketing systems.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and competing deadlines.
- Proactive, enthusiastic and solutions-focused approach.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commercially aware and able to understand the objectives of a professional services business.
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
- Proficiency in the Adobe suite of products preferable.
- Initial experience of using authorised AI tools to improve efficiency.
- Degree-level education (or equivalent) desirable.
