We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team, providing high-quality support to individuals in a care homes setting. The successful candidate will play a vital role in enhancing the wellbeing and independence of those in their care, ensuring they receive respectful and personalised assistance. Duties
- Assist clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
- Support individuals with their care plans, ensuring all needs are met effectively and compassionately
- Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental wellbeing
- Help with meal preparation and feeding as required
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and any changes in clients’ conditions
- Support clients in maintaining their independence and social engagement
- Collaborate with team members to deliver consistent, person-centred care
- Utilise IT systems to update records and communicate effectively within the team
Requirements
- Experience working within a care home or home care environment is desirable
- Knowledge of care plans and ability to implement them effectively
- Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Strong IT skills for documentation and communication purposes
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build trusting relationships with clients
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to support others’ wellbeing
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekdays, weekends, or evenings as required
