Location: 5th Floor, HYLO, 105 Bunhill Row, London, EC1Y 8LZ

Working Pattern: Hybrid - minimum of two days per week in the office; up to three days per week working from home

General Summary

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented pre-press expert to support the rollout of our Global Print-on-Demand (POD) programme and the implementation of our Automated Stock Replenishment (ASR) initiative. This is a high-volume, process-driven role focused on preparing files, amending cover files, and loading titles across multiple systems. The role will be critical in ensuring our backlist is globally available and efficiently managed. The ideal candidate will be highly organised, comfortable working at pace, and confident handling repetitive workflows with a high level of accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Locate and prepare print-ready files for assigned titles
  • Amend cover files in line with POD and ASR requirements
  • Set up and load titles across multiple systems
  • Input and manage title data accurately
  • Support both batch and manual workflows as required
  • For ASR titles: raise and send master purchase orders
  • Track progress and maintain clear records of completed titles
  • Work to daily volume targets while maintaining accuracy

Qualifications and Experience

  • Previous experience in publishing operations, production, or inventory roles preferred
  • Experience working with book files (covers, print specs, PDFs)
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Comfortable working at pace across large title lists
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills
  • Confident using Microsoft Excel and handling data inputs
  • Ability to manage repetitive tasks efficiently while maintaining quality
  • Familiarity with print-on-demand or similar workflows is desirable, but not essential
