General Summary
Bonnier Books UK has an exciting opportunity for a junior designer to join its award-winning design team, creating outstanding covers across its adult imprints.

A newly created role in a versatile team, this is the ideal opportunity for an entry-level designer looking to build up their portfolio and skills working across a range of genres and lists, in a creative and supportive environment.

As well as having a strong interest in design, typography, image and illustration, you will have solid organisation skills, including the ability to maintain schedules and meet deadlines. You will also be a clear communicator, as the role will require liaising closely with the editorial, sales and production teams to ensure that projects are delivered on time and to the highest standard.

A strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite is essential.

Key responsibilities

Designing outstanding covers

Being aware of market trends in various genres and being prepared to break the mould and push boundaries with designs

Liaising with the creative studio manager and other departments including editorial, production, and sales to ensure that projects are delivered on time and to the highest standard

Reformatting covers - adjusting, updating, correcting and checking files when needed

Supporting the team with general administration

Qualifications and Experience

A positive team player with a pro-active approach

A clear communicator, capable of liaising with various teams and functions across the business

Good organisation skills with the ability to maintain schedules and meet deadlines

Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite / Cloud
