Bonnier Books UK has an exciting opportunity for a junior designer to join its award-winning design team, creating outstanding covers across its adult imprints. A newly created role in a versatile team, this is the ideal opportunity for an entry-level designer looking to build up their portfolio and skills working across a range of genres and lists, in a creative and supportive environment.
As well as having a strong interest in design, typography, image and illustration, you will have solid organisation skills, including the ability to maintain schedules and meet deadlines. You will also be a clear communicator, as the role will require liaising closely with the editorial, sales and production teams to ensure that projects are delivered on time and to the highest standard. A strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite is essential. Positive and pro-active in approach, you will enjoy working as part of a close team.

Key responsibilities:- Designing outstanding covers
- Being aware of market trends in various genres and being prepared to break the mould and push boundaries with designs
- Liaising with the creative studio manager and other departments including editorial, production, and sales to ensure that projects are delivered on time and to the highest standard
- Reformatting covers - adjusting, updating, correcting and checking files when needed
- Supporting the team with general administration
- A positive team player with a pro-active approach
- A clear communicator, capable of liaising with various teams and functions across the business
- Good organisation skills with the ability to maintain schedules and meet deadlines
- Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite / Cloud
